Question
Duncan no longer makes prep coat. Is there a suitable alternative? I'm nearly out!

Answer
Dear Rose,

Prep coat is basically used to prepare the surface to paint on. It smooths out any rough edges, etc. If you are using acrylics on your piece, simply use a white, buff or other color for your base. You can thin it if necessary.
