Question
Hi - I have inherited an old peice of pottery/ceramic figurine approx 18 inches - I know it is at least 50 years old poss much older - it was my Grans - and she had it before I was born - hence over 50 - it is of a lady carrying a washing basket, edwardian/vistorian it is 3 colours blue dress light brown bonnet and white arms etc - really nice detail (it is damaged so prob not worth anything except to me) the figure looks like it was made as a solid peice there is a very small hole and no visable joints any help appreciated

Answer
Dear Gillian,
How wonderfulto have something that was cherished by a grandparent. Do you have any photos you can forward? Also, a photo of the bottom with a close up of any markings would help tremendously. I apologize in advance, I am leaving for vacation tomorrow, but will surely check in with you as soon as I return. Leisha
