Question
The Entertainers by Ellen Williams
The Entertainers by El
I have a Court Jester figure dated 1987.  It's on a wooden stand that has a "coin" on it which says "The Enternainers By Ellen Williams".  It also says "Limited Edition  896/9500".  On the bottom theres a sticker that says The Entertainers, c1987 EHW Enterprises, Inc, Licensee Willets Designs.  The only thing I have been able to locate online about the artist is her Obituary from the Chicago Sun Times from Sept 23, 1995. I would just like to find out if this figure is worth anything.

Answer
Dear Cheris,
Ellen Williams would be the artist. Only 9500 of these were produced. You have #896. In 1987 Willitts Designs licensed her to produce this item from her artwork. I'm sure there is a collectible listing for/from Willitts somewhere. Willitts was started by a gentleman in 1961 with the last name Willitts. The company is located in California and they do mostly carousel-type items. I'm sure if you contacted them or one of their distributors they could provide you with a value.
