Question
I need to know how to mix a small amount of slip. Do I need to add more than water? I have a box that is hard is there a way to use this? I have Michigan and Majors slip.

         Thanks  Jean

Answer
You should only use a small amount of hard clay with new clay. It is really hard for the clay to get hard and thick otherwise. The mold soaks in the important chemicals in new clay ,the the old clay already released them. Also, It takes a lot of mixing to get it smooth. If you have bubbles it will explode in kiln. I would get new and add a very small of old with it. Good Luck!
