You are absolutely cheating! I would say that this has gone to the point of an affair. Cheating isnt always physical sex. Cheating on an emotional level is just as bad, probably worse. Morales in my opinion is relative. If you are looking for a fling but love your bf and dont ever want to leave him, I say do it. If you are looking for a relationship, please dont do it unless you break up first.
Trust me, this is coming from someone who has been cheated on. It hurts to know someone doesnt love you anymore but lies to you about it because its comfortable. I would much rather find out that my partner had a fling and it ended at that.
