How to Deal With Cheaters/Being overly suspicious?
Expert: Don - 6/17/2007
QuestionI've been with my boyfriend for about 2 years now, and we're 7 years apart - he's 25 and I'm 18. I've been cheated on by every single boyfriend I've ever had except for him, but lately he's been frigid and never wants to have sex . . . last night, for instance, we got drunk and I tried to seduce him, got him into bed and tried to have sex with him, then went into the bathroom for a vibrator, came out, and discovered that he was totally limp again! I don't really even remember if he ever got hard, because I was really wasted, lol.
Anyways . . . yesterday we were at the gas station and he opened the back door of his jeep and put the back seat down. Usually it's down anyways - but he put it down and said he had some probation guys in the car with him. Which I found odd because I don't think you're allowed to drive around with other probation people, and anyways, he doesn't know any of them. It came to me, however paranoid I sound, that maybe he fucked a girl back there and was trying to cover it up. I'm probably being stupid . . . he loves me and promised he'd never cheat on me . . . but if he did, I won't say it would be unexpected. After all, every other guy has done it before him . . . but I'm not sure what to think. Are these feelings instinct or just plain paranoia? Should I talk to him about it or let it go? Please help . . .
AnswerIf it's on your mind and bothering you, then feel free to ask him about his recent actions. It can't hurt to ask and it might help free your mind.
Who knows maybe he's having some kind of problems getting an erection and is just embarrassed to tell you about it.
I think you should go to him in a non confrontational way and talk to him about your feelings and any issues you feel are going bad in your relationship.
It can't hurt to talk to him and get your feelings off your chest.
