Question
I am a new all star cheerleader and Im on a level 5 team. as of right now i don't
tumble in the routine because i don't have a back layout full twist. (full). i have
never attempted one except for on the trampoline and so when my coach want
to start working me with fulls, i want to have some idea of how to do it. please
help me. please!

Answer
Hi Jessica,

Well first of all, doing your fulls on the tramp is a great start. This will only help to get your body used to the twisting motion.
When your coach decides it's time to start working fulls on the floor, the most important thing is to listen to your coach. Every coach I know has a different method for teaching fulls. Some coaches are totally hands off and will have you keep flipping layouts, while attempting to twist. While, other coaches grab in the middle of the layout and pull the athlete through it. I don't know your coaches methods so the best thing to do is to listen to what he/she wants you to do.
Having the ability to throw the full on the tramp will help you get the trick alot faster on the floor.
So, here's what I can tell you. Be prepared to fall, alot. Make sure that you are always doing these on mats and a floor, and with an experienced coach present. Keep positive, even when you get discouraged. Good luck to you. Please let me know how it goes!

Happy Cheering,
