ANSWER: Hi Danielle Rose,
That's great that you're trying out for your college team! What I would suggest is going to the nearest all star gym and asking if you could do some privates or just work out with one of the teams sometime. Most of the time the gym owners will say yes, because you're not currently on an all star team right now. On your down time between school and work, you could head over to that cheer gym and tumble. Tumbling is the best way to get into shape. You could also sit in the splits, do some crunches, leg lifts, pushups, while you're watching TV or just hanging out at home. That makes a big difference. If you have a gym membership (24 Hour, LA Fitness, etc), go to one of those and get on an elliptical. It builds your endurance and works your arms, legs, and core! Also, make sure you are eating right- always important. I hope this helps, and good luck! Let me know if you need anything else!

QUESTION: Your advice really helps thank you. My fiance has a little at home weight set wit a press, leg extns, dumbells... is there anything you can thing of that would be good for me to do with that, since its right here at home?

AnswerThat's great! Running while holding some weights is always a good workout. Start with the smaller ones and work your way up. Doing leg extensions would be a big help in toning your legs. Since you have equipment at home, you should try to set up a daily routine in addition to the extra tumbling, stretching, and training you are doing. Maybe a quick 30 minute at home workout that you could make routine. You could work on your legs for 10 minutes, do crunches for 10 minutes, and work on your arms for 10 minutes (or run). Hopefully this will help!
