Cheerleading/Tumbling Fear

Question
Hey.
My name is Kendall i fourteen. I hae had this fear for about two years. i just can't get over it.
I have a fear of doing a running back tuck by myself.
but i will do it with somebody standing right next to me.
but as soon as they step away i cant even do a flip-flop.
I reall eed to get over my fear fast because i want to move on to a level three teamin competative cheer. i quit my level two team because i was the best one on the eam and i didn't feel right on the team.and im a level our flyer but a level two tumbler. i just need some help.

Hi Kendall,

   This is a really common fear, and the biggest thing is to begin visualizing yourself doing the trick. You know that your body can physically do it, so now you've got to get your mind to know that too. I suggest that you close your eyes and visualize yourself doing the trick over and over. Do the motions with your arms and hands and really pretend you're doing it. Then you have to force your body to do it. Don't think - just throw it. The human mind is an incredibly powerful thing, but sometimes we just need it to turn off for a bit. Good luck with this. If you really focus, you CAN overcome this mental block!

Experience

My Experience in the area: I cheered on my grade school team for 4 years. I danced for on pointe for 14 years. I have coached for 9 years for grade school basketball cheerleading, grade school competitive squads, and all-star. I now own my own national championship all-star team.

Education/Credentials
I am safety certified by the AACCA. I have a BA in Elementary Education and am a certified teacher. I also have my masters in library science with an emphasis on teens.
