Question
i have just made captin for this commin accademic yearat my university.
we just competed at nationals and did well in dance and cheer.
i want us to improve even more this year, ive employed a new gymnast coach to improve our tumbling but obviously this is straining our funds.
im trying to arrange a new sponser for the year as our other has run out, we do a lot of fundraising like bake sales, children's parties and hen dos.
Do you have any other ideas for fundraising?

We also enter at coed but also enter an all femal stuntgroup.
However some of our guys are graduatingand so moving on, we will only have 3 guys left, i reallyneed ways of inticing guys tojoin cheerleading.
do you have any idea of how torecruit them?
Thanks and kind regards
Katx

Answer
Hi Kat,

Your questions are things that I am also having trouble with, so I can't really be of much help.
Fundraising we do that are great for us is selling taffy apples around Halloween, poinsettias for Christmas, and hosting a "Day at the Races".
As to recruiting, try pitching to athletes who play sports that occur in a different season from cheerleading. You can also try gymnasts, or some of your girl's boyfriends. Good Luck!

Happy Cheering,
