Question
This upcoming spring I am going to try out for a college cheerleading squad. I used to be a varsity cheerleader in high school. I wanted to know if you have any tips for making the squad? I also really need to get into shape. It has been almost a year since I have cheered. Do you have any tips for getting back into shape as well? Thank you so much for your time!

Answer
Well in college cheering girls on coed teams have to be flyers. So you need to be super flexible. I would suggest run and stretching everyday. It is the fastest way to get in shape. Also your tumbling is expected to be good for a college team, so I would definitely work on tumbling. Plus high school cheering is nothing like college cheering . College cheering is almost as hard as all star cheering. So just be prepared for amazing tumblers and stunters at your tryout. Good Luck!
