Cheerleading/Quiting

QuestionThis is the first year I've done cheerleading and I am SUPER stressed out... I'm the slowest girl on the squad and I just feel like quitting cause practices are getting in the way of family things and I's just to hard cause I can't memorize the stuff and I want to quit but I would feel horrible for letting down my coach and friends and the face that my mom spent so much but I can pay her back.....I just need some advice on if i should quit or not.:(
AnswerThat's unfortunately not something anyone can answer but yourself with the advice of your mom. I know it can suck, My first year I was the slowest guy on my college team and by my last year I was captain (and still the slowest guy so that shows you that means nothing..lol). Memorizing routines can be extremely difficult. But I've always thought cheerleading and sports in general should be fun. Especially for kids and up through high school. I mean I chose to be a cheerleader, I could have played tennis or golf or whatever but I didnt find those sports fun, i wasnt willing to push myself for them. The same goes for you and everyone else in my opinion. The farthest I'd go in way of advice would be dont ask yourself what your coach or friends (or even mom if you can pay her back sometime though your mom might not even ask), i'd ask myself if it was fun and if I wanted to keep doing it. I loved every second of practice and game we did so I put myself through alot physically and giving up things in way of social life in college but cheerleading was everything to me. I had great friends who only cheered a year who had more talent than me but to them it just wasn't worth it all. That's what you've got to decide for yourself.
