Question
Okay so cheer tryouts are coming up in a month and I need to come up with a small dance for tryouts but i don't know how to make the dance.
And i really need to be able to have my jumps pretty high and they are not that high.
do you know any good stretches that will help me get my jumps higher?

Answer
Hi Taryn,

For your dance pick an awesome song you like, search youtube videos and take dance parts and combine them into a tryout dance. It's pretty easy and you'll have a great time doing it when you see all the cool things cheerleaders do in their dances. Get together with a friend to make it even more of a blast.

As to your second question, height in jumps come from the strength in you core muscles - your abs. If you strengthen these, you will improve your height. Also, when you jump focus on snapping your legs up and then snapping then down again equally hard. The harder you snap your legs, the higher your jump will be. Just make sure you snap them down tight and together. Good luck!

Happy Cheering,
