Cheerleading - mini cheer tumble pass for All Star comp.
Expert: Kimmi - 4/27/2009
Question What does a strong tumble pass look like in an all star individual mini cheer tumble pass comp.? My daughter who is 7 is talking about wanting to compete in an individual event in this category, but I wouldn't want to put her in it unless she is doing similar passes to most of the girls who are involved in this individual category.
Thanks,
New Cheer Mom
Answer Hi Stormy,
At any level a strong pass should look easy when completed. Any good pass should increase in speed with each trick. For example, if a tumbler is doing a round-off multiple flip-flop pass, each flip flop should be faster than the one before. Also, any trick should be done with straight elbows are properly leg placement etc. This is hard to explain not knowing your daughter's pass or being able to see it. Overall, watch your daughter and trust her coach's judgement on the matter, and I'm sure she'll do great! Good luck.
