Question
How do I do a running tumble? I'm trying out for JV and I have no idea what a running tumble is! My friend who was in gymnastics tried to explain it to me but I still have no idea! I did a back handspring, but it's only worth 3 points and there's something called a full and I don't know what it is.

Answer
Hi Mary,

Running tumbling is any pass that you run into. They usually begin with a round-off entry or a front handspring step-out. So, your back handspring would be done after a round-off.

A full is a tumbling trick that is done by twisting completely around while rotating upside down in a layout body position. You can find videos on youtube. A handspring is a good thing to have and its the most widely used tumbling pass in cheer. Good luck to you!

Happy Cheering,
