Question
Hello,
I am very interested in cheerleading and wondering about my capability to
try out for certain collegiate teams.  I am 5'4" and I was wondering if that
would be too tall to tryout for a team such as UK?  By the time I would be
able to tryout I would have all necessary skills. I am wondering this because
all girls on UKs team seem about 5'0".

Answer
Honestly when it comes to specific teams there's no substitutions for asking the coach if there are requirements. I'm not going to lie, when it comes to a team like Kentucky or Morehead State or the very top elite the smaller the better (obviously 5'4 isn't "big" but as you said the flyers at the elite teams seem to always redefine tiny)and it might be a situation where you'd have to show up the 5'0-ers b/c skills being equal they would have that advantage. That being said at 5'4 if you have skills for someone like Kentucky in a worst case scenario there would be countless other major universities that would jump at the chance to take you.
