Cheerleading/Flyer flexibility

Question
Hi,
I have both of my splits, and am working on my flexibility, but it seems like I can never get fully flexible.  I can only do my splits after I stretch for a while, and am sore afterwards.  How do I just get all the way there without having to go back and forth so much?

Answer
If you warm up before you stretch you will not have to stretch that long and it will be easier to do the splits. you are probably sore because your body isnt used to the stretch to just keep stretching and warmup before. Like jumping jacks, run in place, or dance something like that.
