Question
Hi, I'm 16 going on 17 and I want to know if it's too late for me to start trying to cheer? I've always wanted to be a cheerleader, my sister was one and she would sometimes show me he cheer moves. I know I need to learn some things but I'm one of those person's who says they want to do something and makes sure it gets done. So, I just want to know is it ever to late to try and start cheerleading?

No, its not too late! Grab some cheer friends and start learning all that you need to know. See if you can join the school squad or find a cheer gym that goes beyond senior teams. (that has Open Teams, for people over 18) That way you can keep cheering for years to come. Its not too late, but its going to take hard work and determination to catch up with kids that have been doing this for years. But, you can do it! Good luck to you!

Experience
My Experience in the area: I cheered on my grade school team for 4 years. I danced for on pointe for 14 years. I have coached for 9 years for grade school basketball cheerleading, grade school competitive squads, and all-star. I now own my own national championship all-star team.
