Cheerleading/Bow and Arrow

Question
I am a flyer on a stunt team and I am aiming to get my bow and arrow. I stretch hard everyday, but I still haven't gotten it. Do you know any specific stretches that will help me or anything else I can do to get it quickly? Thanks!

Answer
Hey Jojo,

Any stretches that work the upper thigh and the flexibility in your hip and stomach. Because you're trying to force your arm through that space, the hip and thigh need to be super flexible to allow that to happen. One of the easiest things to do is to spend alot of time laying your face on the leg you pull for bow and arrow. Get the hip used to stretching in that way. Overstretching also works, but you need to be supervised by someone who knows what they are doing, because overstretching can really injure you. Good luck!!
