Question
I'm trying out for cheerleading in my school and i know how to do a couple of stuff like front walkover, cartwheel, cartwheel with one hand, roundoff, roundoff with one hand but what I'm trying to say is that i don't know how to do a backhandspring but i really want to learn how to do it. what are the steps in making a backhandspring?

Answer
One of the best ways to get a back handsprang is to first learn how to do a back walkover. Once you get good at that, start doing it faster and faster.
Step by step:
1. Have your feet together and sit your butt like your in a chair.
2. Throw back and let your hands hit the floor and flip over.

The best way to do this is to have a professional spot or go to a tumbling class. I do not advise you try this by yourself because since you don't knw tge technique, you don't need to risk injury.
