Hi Katelin!
         I'm in the 8th grade getting ready to go into High School and I've never cheered before, but my sisters and cousins all cheered,and the sport never appealed to me until I was In 5th grade,when I realized how much fun it is!Anyway,what I want to know is,I'm really enthusiastic and happy,but I have no past experience with Cheerleading, (Other than watching relatives)Is there any chance I could make the squad?It would be a dream come true!

You have nothing to really worry about. Its not until after 9th grade it can be more difficult to get into the squad. at my high school anyone could make the cheerleading team in 9th grade then it was harder after that. It all depends on how advanced the squad is at the high school as well. LIke do they compete or not cause that would make a difference. I dont htink you have anything to worry about htough. Just work on your flexibility, jumps, motions and study stunts etc. YOu'll do fine :-)
