Cheerleading/Fear of Flying

Question
I had an accident in middle school when my backspot didn't catch me when I was twisting down from a spot. I hit my head pretty hard. Well, I recently made my highschool squad and they want me to fly. I am terribly afraid too. But I am also afraid that if i don't fly, I'll get kicked off...HELP!

Answer
Hey Janna!

I'm sorry to hear about your accident. .What you need to do is explain to you high school coach what happened! I'm almost 100% positive that she will understand and will not kick you off the team. However, if she still wants you to fly, I suggest getting with a set stunt group and staying with that one group. Also go out with this group to friendly activities like sleepovers or bowling so that you can get to know and trust them. Afterall, trust is the key to any good stunt group. Also start small and begin to stunt with baby stunts!
