Cheerleading/Fold Downs

Question
Hey, I've been a cheerleader now for about 12 years starting from when i was 4 but I'm just now doing fold downs. From a regular press I was asked to attempt a single fold down and ended up doing a triple. My problem is i keep doing triples. I cant stop. So when i need to do a single fold down i cant. What am i doing wrong?

Answer
Hey Kelyn,
I always had a problem with that too.  What I did was when I was doing a single down I would keep my arms straight, and act like I was putting my left hand into my right back pocket and my right wrapped around my belly into my left hand back pocket.  This slows down your rotation so you don't keep over rotating, and doing more than you need to. When you do more then you need to it not only messes you up . . . but it also messes up you bases. If you need me to further explain the answer to your question let me know. OR IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER QUESTIONS FEEL FREE TO ASK. KEEP ME POSTED ON HOW IT IS GOING THANX.
Sincerly,

Expertise

I can answer all kinds of questions that are about tumbeling, stunting, flying, cheering, dancing, flexabilty, motions, and just getting back in shape. I can't answer questions about the drill team. I was on an all-star team for 7 years and am currently on my high school team which I have been on for 3 years, and I am currently captain of my high school squad. On my all-star team I was a flyer, a base, and a tumbler. I would be glad to help you, so you may give me some of your questions and I would be glad to give you as much information as I can.
