Cheerleading/Hyperextended toe-touches
Expert: Desiree - 8/9/2004
QuestionHi-My name is Kristin and I have also been cheering for 7 years! I have pretty good jumps and most of them are level/hyperextended except for my toe-touch! My toe touch is only ok and I have trouble getting my legs high enough. I have heard the term "sitting out" of it, but what does that mean and how do you do that in the jump? I really need a hyper extended toe touch soon! Please get back to me ASAP! Thanks SO much, Kristin *\o/*
AnswerDear, Kristin
Hyperexdended toetouches are when your legs are really high, basicly out of you sockets! Thats the simple way to put it. Ive never really had a hyperextended toetouch but it was pretty high! Im not very familiar with the term "sitting out" I am sorry that I am not much of a use with the question.
I am very sorry,

I forgot to answer your question about making your toetouch higher!! What i did was I practiced my middle splits a lot even if you flat to the ground, keep doing them! doing left leg and right leg splits help with toetouches and many of the other jumps. Also do excersises for your legs to build up the muscles to make you jump higher.
Thank you
