Question
I am in the process with 2 other partners of opening an all star program in our area, we  have location and equipment pretty much everything but coaches. I have 5 university level cheerleaders that are wanting to come on and help coach as well as a local tumbling teacher that is very will known, but we have no idea where to start as far as what to offer them for pay. Can you give me any advice I think we have budgeted way to low in this area as these people are already certified.

Answer
Hi Jenifer,

I think a good thing might be to ask them how much they expect to be paid or how much they have been paid in the past. If their answers are similar you know you're on the right track. Pay scales change from place to place. You can also ask around to the other gyms in your area and see what they pay their staff. In my area, the scale is so different, but some people I know get paid around $10-12 dollars an hour, but this might be too high or too low for your program and area. Good Luck!
Happy Cheering!
