Hi Autumn !

My name is Mandy and I am fourteen years old.I would like to start a cheerleading club for people my age, of all skills and abilities in my area but I have never cheered before.I have some tumbling experience though. Cheerleading looks like fun and I always am excited whenever a cousine or friend tells me about it and their previous experience on their cheerleading teams. If I were to start a cheerleading team would I need a coach ? How could I finance my squad ? What advice can you offer ?

Well Mandy, if you go to Varsity.com you can post a forum notice in the job section asking for volunteer coaches. you can even approach some of the snerior and junior cheerleaders at your high school to see if they are interested. You can post flyers in your school and in currounding city schools for girls to come try out for the team. as far as funding... just say that the girls have to pay for their own stuff. Have a meeting prior to putting the team together with all the girls that are interested and thier moms. the coach you will have though will be able to help you with all this.... this is what you should put in the add

I am looking to start an allstar cheerleading team in (your city and state) This would be more for fun, and learning with the potential to grow. the age would range from 12 and up (or whatever you want) I am looking for a coach that would be able to take on the responsiblity of helping me start this team and then running it.
