Cheerleading - Tryouts

Expert: Kiki Quach - 4/20/2007

Question
Hey, I have a question about tryouts! How can you not be nervous during tryouts, I am a Flyer, so if you have any tips on flying, then can you please give some to me!

Answer
Hey.
If I had a cure for being nervous, I'd be the most confident person ever.
Honestly, being nervous is a natural feeling that everyone gets before trying out, even if they have a right to be cocky.
You just have to tell yourself that you're good and sometimes, trying to convince yourself that you're so good that you get cocky is sometimes the best way to shake the nerves.
Sometimes, if you play the "I'm so hot and you know you want me" deal, you can actually believe it in your mind and you can get through without feeling nervous.

As with the flying, just trust your bases, stay tight and don't worry about it. Most of the time, if you even have a thought about falling, you're going to fall. But if you just have fun, you normally hit stunts easily.

I hope this helped.

Love always, Kiki Quach
