Question okay so i have been tumbling since i have been in 8th grade. and now going into 11th and me being a captain of my varsity squad i cant even make myself throw a standing handspring.. a skill that i have learned 3 years ago. when ever i go for it my body just stops and tenses up so i cant move. and i have no idea why. this is really killing me and my team. in the end of last season i could throw standing tucks without even thinking and roundoff handspring tucks and it just be easy. now i cant even do a handspring..HELP!
Answer you just have to get over ur mental breakdown.
you need to make urself throw it or have one of ur coaches make you do conditioning or something everytime you don't do it. cuz this consequence will normally help in making you throw.
i usee to have a lot of mental blocks. and my coaches would throw me over if i didn't do it then make me condition i started cheer when i was 8 and eventually i learned to do everything without mental block, because i knew the consequensces.
