Question
ive been cheering since my sophmore year and now im getting ready for college, I want to try out  for the team in college, as a male cheerleader what minimum requirements should I expect  at tryouts?

Answer
Wow, that can vary more than you could ever imagine depending on where you go to college at. I've seen it range from colleges who have JV squads (for incoming freshman) that will accept guys who can do a chair and chair to hands. All the way up to (unless you're an amazing tumbler) you'd better have a very very solid lib and heel stretch to even have a chance. Once you know where you're going to school at I'd go to their website and to their athletics page and look at their cheerleading site. Most of them will have the tryout requirements on there. If not you can always e-mail the coach and ask.
