Question
well im in 8th grade cheerleading and ive landed a couple of times like on someones knee and hits me inbetween the legs. Is there anything that can protect us girls? Like how guys have a protective cup. Can't wear one of them during cheerleading. It hurts bad. What do guy cheerleaders do about things like that? They can't wear a cup do they?

Answer
Hey Nicole!

Unfortunantly, They don't make anything like that for girls.
The main way to prevent yourself from getting hurt if you do fall from a stunt is falling correctly. When falling, the most important rule is to always lean back to fall. Never try to fall forwards or straight down. That will end up hurting yourself or someone else. If you feel you are about to fall, fall into a cradle position. This position is easy for your bases to catch. It will also keep everyone safe in the even of a fallen stunt. Also remember when falling to stay tight as a board! Squeeze your legs together and keep your arms glued to your side.

I hope this helps!
