Question
hey kimmi em me and my friend holly are both 13 and we want to start a cheerleading squad but we live in bishop Auckland, is their any places you think we could compete, or can U just compete in like San Diego and that we R desperate and we know a bunch of kids who want to do it , how old do you have to be??? plz help me

Hi Lauren,
Well, you can cheer anywhere. Essentially, you need to find a team to cheer on. (Search the internet for cheer teams near you) OR start a team. For that, you'd need to find someone who would do this for you being as you're both too young to start the team yourself. Look for someone who's willing to do this if you can't find a gym to cheer for. Once you find a person willing to do this, then read my past answers on how to start a team. Good Luck!

Experience
My Experience in the area: I cheered on my grade school team for 4 years. I danced for on pointe for 14 years. I have coached for 9 years for grade school basketball cheerleading, grade school competitive squads, and all-star. I now own my own national championship all-star team.

I am safety certified by the AACCA. I have a BA in Elementary Education and am a certified teacher. I also have my masters in library science with an emphasis on teens.
