Cheerleading/Should I try out next year ?

Hey~!~ Right now I am in the 8th grade and I am preparing for try-outs in 4 months(the freshman squad)! Well the thing is I tried out in the 7th grade and didnt make the JH squad that year but I tried out again this year and made it. I dont know if I should try out in may for highschool squad because I am not very good at jumps or tumbling. The other girls that are trying out for freshman squad arent really either so I am wandering if since I love cheerleading so much that I should try out because I could have a chance ?I just dont know what to do?! IF you know any stretches or exercises that could possibly help me I would love to hear them !Thanx so much !

Hey Sara!  I think you should definitely try out.  Don't be afraid because you didn't make a team once.  If you love cheerleading that much you should just go out there and have a much fun as you can at the try out!  As far as stretches go, you can do straddle stretches, leg kicks, try doing the splits everyday and before you know it, you'll be all the way down in a split.  Those are the only stretches I can think of right now to help with jumps.  I hope everything works out and goes well!  I hope you make the team!!!!
