Hello,
I just bought the Cheers season 2 DVD having hardly watched more than 8 episodes of Cheers before. I vaguely remembered something about Ted Danson and Shelley Long not getting on in real life. Or was that Ted Danson  and Kirstie Alley(?) in the later series? I could, of course, be completely wrong, and may be thinking of other TV stars in other TV shows. Do you know  whether this idea of mine has any basis in fact?

Hi Geoff -

The only real friction that has been talked about regarding Cheers is the friction between Shelley Long and Kelsey Grammer.  Shelley was totally against Kelsey being cast on the show and that was made public during an interview with Kelsey. Shelley has not really talked about it.  My feeling from interviews I've seen with other cast members is that Shelley could be tempermental although they never came right out and said that.
