Hello. I'm a fan of the TV show Frasier but have never watched Cheers. I heard that the character of Frasier was supposed to appear in only one episode as Diane's date, but became popular. Can you tell me how Frasier and Lillith got together and then broke up? Thank you.

Hi Mary,

  Frasier proved to be popular enough that they decided to keep him on. Shelley Long(Diane)was not a fan of the character and reportedly tried to get him axed from the show!. As for the break up, Lilith fell in love with a fellow scientist and cheated on Frasier(resulting in Frasier threatening to jump off a building). Thanks for writing.
