Hi there,

Do you have any suggestions on how I might be able to find an episode of "Cheers" where one of the main characters is arrested and read their Miranda Rights ("You have the right to remain silent" etc)? I'm working on a short educational video for the National Constitution Center and am hoping to create a 1-2 minute montage of clips that show cops reading perps their rights.

Hi Molly -

There are a few occasions on Cheers when the cops are involved but honestly I don't think their Miranda Rights are ever read.  I can tell you the situations though:

Episode 193 When Robin (Rebecca's fiance) is arrested for embezzlement.
Episode 264 When Dr. Louis Pascal (Lilith's underground lover) shows up at the bar with a gun trying to get her back

When Rebecca tries to bribe a cop after seeing Sam bribe plumbers etc.  Unfortunately, I can't remember which episode this scene is from.  It wasn't more than a minute or so of the show.
