Chemical Engineering/Dipping bird fluid

Question
Hello Reza,

I am looking for a fluid with a low boiling point.

I want to make a Dipping Bird, a few feet tall.

The small toy one usually contains  Methylene Chloride..... bp 40c.

I can't buy this in the UK so can you suggest something else that might work?

Many thanks.

Mike Flanagan

Answer
dear Mike,
it should be a material with high vapor pressure and low boiling point (maybe like methanol, etc).
I searched for you but I can't find a better choice for this purpose.
By the way, if you change the liquid it may takes longer time for dipping.
You can test some liquids, such as methanol (alcohol). It looks like a good experiment.
I'm looking forward to hearing about your tests,
yours,
Reza
