Question
The carbon dioxide in soda comes from factories, but how do the factories make the carbon dioxide?

Answer
Hi Allaina

CO2 is often recovered from the synthesis gas in ammonia production, or from petroleum refineries or natural springs and wells.

In small amounts it can be made by adding an acid to a carbonate containing material.
