Chemicals/MgS

Question
I'm a student, 10th grade taking chemistry.
I was wondering. How could I get sulfur from MgS?

Answer
Theoretically you could electrically or chemically oxidize it, but first you have to get it into solution with strong acid.  That will produce H2S, a gas, which can be trapped.

Practically, it would be very difficult and time consuming and would require an advance lab..  If you want sulfur, go to a drug store and buy it.
