If these methods don't work and you want to risk discoloring, try
Mr. Clean Magic Eraser or rubbing alcohol and I have seen reference to use Deep Woods Off which have a solvent in it that might work.
With these last ideas, try a small spot first and make sure you clean well afterwards and rewax.
