Question
I need to find out how to dissolve powdered Vitamin E Acetate USP/DL.  Is it water or oil soluable?  Will heat damage the antioxidant qualities?  I need it to completely incorporate it into a liquid.  I intend to put it in homemade lotion and can't have it feel gritty.

Thanks,
Sue Brown

Answer
It appears that what you really want is the form already prepared to dissolve in oil.  The powder version has a binder that has to be removed chemically before it can be dissolved.  If you have a shot, try an oil or an alcohol.  Water is out.  The literature says it is thermally stable.
