Question
Greetings,
What is the difference between aroxyl and phenoxyl radicals?

Fahad

Answer
The can be the same thing or different depending on the context and who is talking.  Aroxyl will be more general and include all aromatics with a benzene-oyxgen linkage, no matter the other substituents on the benzene.  Phenoxy can be the same thing or refer only to the case where all the aromatic substituents are hydrogen.
