Question
Just out of curiosity, why is it, that when ice cubes are places in a glass or bowl they stick together?
When edges are exposed they start to melt from the heat in the air and continue to melt because they are exposed to the air. If touching, the liquid water formed merges with the next cube and since there is no air exposure, the rest of the cube refreezes enough of the surface to cause sticking.
