Question
I have a list of assay for mos2 and I need to find out how much actual moly is in the assay. Can you give me an equation that will give me this answer?

Answer
Here is a good website to keep handy.

http://webmineral.com/chemical.shtml

If you click on Mo, you get the Mo percentage for more Mo minerals than I knew existed.

MoS2 is 59.94% Mo so 0.5994 X MoS2 = Mo
