I also have to say that most dictionaries do not recognize the verb form or pipet (pipette) and like me would rather students only use the word as a noun.  You do not pipet, you transfer or you measure or you deliver with a pipet.  It is such an awkward word when you read pipetting.  In the lab, you can use it as shorthand in speech, but I do not like it in writing.
