Chess - En Passent

Expert: Len Molden - 8/14/2008

Question
Is a player allowed to en passent out of check?

Answer
I believe this would be a legal move as it would be like a player capturing a piece that is giving check, though I can't recall ever encountering this in an actual game.

If you have a specific position in mind, then please send a follow-up of your question to me with the positions of all of the pieces.

Regards,

Len
