Question
Hello,

i have always wanted to learn how to play chess and decided its time to start. Is there any advice you can give on how to start ? and any websites or even things from yourself that help begginers learn how to play and the rules and how to set up the chess board etc ?

any help is appreciated, thank you

Thanks for your question.  I'm sure that you will find chess to be a most rewarding and enjoyable hobby.

You might want to consider purchasing one of these books:

"Chess for Dummies", by James Eade

"Complete Idiot's Guide to Chess", by Patrick Wolff

If you live near a chess club, go there as often as you can!  Chess players just love to give new chess players advice!
