Question
Hi,I play alot of computer chess and the PC seems to take advantage of the en passant move.  I have moved my pawn two spaces in the past not to avoid being tasken but to threaten another of his pieces and the Computer always proform en passant.  Why? and is this fair?

Answer
Hi Darrell,

Here's the complete rules about the en passant capture:

The computer can do this capture anytime it's present on the board after a move as it's perfectly legal and fair.  If the computer didn't think it was advantageous for it to do so, it wouldn't make the capture.
