Question
when no other left but the king... is it only 15 steps what the opponent has to do checkmate?
and is it possible to checkmate to a king only with a king and a caste?
thank you

Answer
Hi,

i recommend that one of the first things to do when learning how to play chess is to learn the basic rules.
To answer your question; the rule you are referring to is the "50 move rule" to claim a draw.
You have 50 moves to claim a draw but if a pawn or piece is captured, you have to start all over again.

Yes. It is possible and easy to checkmate with a castle (rook) and KIng.
I suggest you buy a book  on basic chess tactics such as "Bobby Fischer Teaches Chess".

I hope this helps!
