can u give me advice on how to play the king's gambit in chess and is it is affective or risky. im talking about e4 e5 f4 exf

Hi Sam,

The king's gambit is considered a somewhat unsound opening at the higher levels of chess, but for anyone rated under 2400 USCF - it's completely playable. If you like tactics and exciting attacking chess, then it's a good weapon to have in your repertoire, or even to be your main line opening against 1...e5.
