Question
I'm a newcomer to the opening so I dont no much about it. Would it siut a player with an aggresive style but a defensive opening

Answer
Hi Conor - The Caro Kann would generally not suit a player with an aggressive style because of the pawn structure Black gets from it.  It can be played in an aggressive manner as in the following variation but White has many ways to avoid this line:

1. e4 c6
2. d4 d5
3. Nc3 d:e4
4. N:e4 Nf6
5. N:f6  g:f6...followed by Queen side castling.

If you like to play an aggressive style and you're a newcomer, I recommend answering 1.e4 with 1...e5.

Regards,

Len
